John Swanson, the founder and owner of Swanson & Associates, was raised in Eastern Oregon and graduated from the University of Portland. He worked with an international adjusting firm as a Multi-Line Adjuster until 1979, when he founded our company in Redding.
Mr. Swanson has continually evolved the company’s services to meet the changing landscape of both the insurance and investigative industries.
Mr. Swanson’s goal is to faithfully provide his clients with the highest-quality services possible. He does so by employing experienced, dedicated, and resourceful personnel who have the talent to consistently conduct effective investigations and meet any challenges that might present themselves.

Riley Schmidt and Toni Jeffries are a husband-and-wife team dedicated to continuing the Independent Adjusting business started by Mr. Swanson in 1979. Riley is Mr. Swanson’s grandson and was raised in Redding, California, graduating from Washington State University. Toni also graduated from Washington State University. Riley and Toni have been working closely with Mr. Swanson since 2021, learning the business under his guidance, taking advantage of his 50 years’ experience in the claims industry. Riley and Toni are working to continue their education and have earned their Associates in Claims designations from The Insurance Institutes. Continuing Education courses are extremely valuable to the Swanson team, as they assist us in providing our clients with the most positive experience. Team Swanson has continuously worked to adjust our skills in ways that will best serve our clients. We are eager and ready to help you with your claim-handling needs.
